Tempus Fugit
I can't believe it is nearly the end of October. Last night was the last wax carving and silver casting class. Eight weeks have gone by. I did get the Celtic Knot cast and the sprues sawed and filled off last night. Other than that it is still in need of a serious post cast clean-up. Pictures will be coming.
I bought a supply of wax of different colors (which indicates hardness) and sizes. Just flat sheets for now. I can cut rings out of the flats if I want to do another ring. I have several ideas but none dying to get carved just yet.
My daughter finished her ring project last night and it is gorgeous! I'll post a pix when she puts up a link. She is a professional jewelery photographer so I am sure it will be a great picture.
It may be time I add a section to this site for lost wax casting. I am going to be doing a lot more of it.
