New Category - 3D Printing

AlunarPrinterI have just created a new category with its own tab on the main website . I have just made the self-commitment to exploring the wide world of what is called 3D Printing. I will use the blog (here) to make comments and observation and will be looking for your comments and replies if you are so inclined.

The main website will contain the in-depth photo detailed coverage when it is more than this blog can display. I don't want to lose the interactive ability for you the reader, that the blog format permits.

I have been considering the long range possibility of an entirely new presentation for this category as stand-alone blog. I have suspicions that 3D Printing can become a very high interest topic. There is a huge internet presence on this subject. So I am willing to create and promote a less obscure spin-off if there is an interest in my presentation material and style.

What I see is a tremendous amount of out of date and miss-information when I do a Google search on 3D printing. I see YouTube videos where extruder is banging and slamming back and forth as if the intention of 3D printing is to print as fast as possible. The reality is speed is presently NOT a strong point for 3D printing and it may never be...

I know I can present far better video than the average I have seen. I may burn a few when or if becomes necessary. My goal is to share rather than take control. I am currently not a resident guru on the topic, but I do know how to tell my story.

On the other hand there is also a good number of professionally done sites catering to the hobbyist. Many of them are print sharing sites covering many thousands of free prints for anyone to use. So there are a lot of choices and any newbie will certainly find any and everything they need if they look for it.

I invite and hope you will follow along with my new creative 3D Printing efforts. Please let me know when you visit. ~ RD
