I have decided that electronic construction projects are something I can and should include in The Hobbyist’s Workshop (THWs). I have built many amateur radio projects, computer systems, control systems (CNC controllers), electronic equipment enclosures in my workshop. They really were shop projects during their design and construction.

There is enough bench work to consider them shop projects. Working with tools, materials, cutting, soldering, etc. results in a finished product. I am not considering going into a deep dive of the application of these items unless it is a shop tool. Something like building a cookie stamp but not getting into making cookies.

I have been posting electronic types of projects in Ramblin Dan (RD) and The Hobbyist’s Machine Shop (THMS). RD will probably remain the place where I talk about using what I build such as writing computer programs and operating home built amateur radio equipment. By using this THWs website I don’t need to get into the construction processes in the RD blog. That site is just for “ramblin’ on”.

I have no electronic construction projects active at the moment but don’t be too surprised if you see a new menu tab labeled “Electronics” appear sometime this year.
