What's In a Name?

b2ap3_thumbnail_NameChange.jpgHoly Smokes!

Look, the name of the website and this blog have changed. Yes indeed they have. The Hobbyist has been replaced by Ramblin Dan.

Nothing has changed in any other way. The old links will still work. In fact if you use the new URL, http://ramblindan-workshop.com the old "Hobbyist" URL will still be seen in the URL bar but the page tab will have the new name.

I decided the word hobbyist, although a thoroughly honorable word, lends a less than professional image to where I am taking my avocation. I also freely admit "Ramblin Dan" is a bit curious too. (I am trying to keep the fun in the name.)

I am also contemplating in changing my machine shop website and business names too. Weather it will be Ramblin Dan remains to be decided.

Alive and well I hope! I am making it more personal. It fits with my Ramblin' Dan general BS blog. I also do far more than hobby work in my shop these days.
