The enclosure is required because using the stream of air blown to clear wax flakes (chips) can be messy. Containment is necessary for easy cleanup. I have some design features in mind and will soon have some sketches made for construction. It will be as simple and lightweight as possible.
I have designed and built a prototype wax holder for holding thin flat wax sheets in the forth axis where I can now easily machine both sides if the sheet. The 4th axis rotates the holder 180 degrees. I will be showing more of this new accessory soon.
This mill can and will also be used for other dry machining such as DuPont Corian that I have used in creating Lithophanes.
My number 1 Taig CNC mill is my goto machine for all metal work requiring mist cooling.
So much to do. So much fun doing it!
