I have reported it to the MS10 development team several times but it must be a minor issue for them as no fix has been created. My advice is if you have a self-built hardware system and an AMD processor you may want to revert back to your older (Windows) OS if your sleep mode breaks. The upgrade is supposed to preserve a way to go back.
For me on this computer I can do without the sleep mode.
On my WIN10 sandbox I see the upgrade has created a “restore” partition on my hard drive, so recourse to the previous system should be possible.
Otherwise, I think Windows 10 is a worthy OS advance for new computers, especially those with touch screens or have been running Windows 8.x versions.
I am not sure how Win 10 will integrate into my workshop and CNC control operations. I am certain the creative design software will be fine. I am not sure how it will be with running CNC control software such as MACH3 or 4. No problem yet as I have no need to upgrade my controller computers.
New laptops will certainly be issued with WIN10 if not already, so I think issues will be resolved for those of us who use computers as controller front ends. Free Linux is always an option.
