Cold Feet

This has been a very cold winter, even by North Texas standards. Unbearable cold for most other states north and east of Texas. The weather has kept me out of my workshop far more than usual. At least for any long term work sessions. The problem is my legs don’t have great circulation anyway and soon turn into virtual pillars of ice.

I don’t continuously heat my shop so I have been seeing temperatures down as low as 40 degrees (F.). I can warm the air up for awhile to 60+ F. with heaters but the concrete floor is still cold.

Once I come in from the cold my body and circulation can’t make up for the chill in my lower extremities so I have to resort to heating pads on my legs and feet. That can’t be a good condition to endure so I don’t tough it out very long when internal shop temperatures drop below 60.

Spring can’t come (and stay) soon enough.
