I have been experimenting with 3D printing to make masters for my investment casting. Called "lost wax casting" when the master is wax. The 3D print is a form of plastic. These happy owls are the first reasonable casting. They are thin and hollow. Fresh out of the investment, the black is fire scale. They are going into pickle (mild hot acid) and will come out snowy white. Then on to the silver finish work. I'll post a finished picture.
