I whipped up a batch of new silver pendents yesterday. Three were carved on the Taig CNC mill and the heart with the celtic knot was hand carved. The top two are duplicates of what I have made previously. The bottom two are new designs.

Actually it takes more than a day to make these, but I cast then all at the same time. The actual casting takes very little time but there is a lot of creative work before and finish work after.

I have to make things over as my work has started to sell and I am getting requests to make additional copies of what I have sold.

I obtained a very small tumbler to aid in the finish work. I used it the first time on these pieces. I let it tumble for two hours and the steel shot in the tumbler adds a nice burnish or polish to the finish. The tumbler does not remove scratches or rough surfaces, but could be used for that if I used other media in the tumbler.

If demand for duplicates of my work continues, I am considering escalating to making rubber molds of master designs and making copies using wax injection. That's like starting a whole new artcraft.

I like creating new designs and things other than pendents, so I am taking a close look at my time management. So much to do and loving every minute.
