I went to Lowe's to buy an electrical plug to repair my desk lamp. There was an open in the wiring right at the molded on plug. Easy repair.
While I was looking in the store bins for the suitable repair plug, I found this item. I didn't know it existed.
For all the tools I have with a plug and no switch, (soldering irons, hot glue guns, a jewelry polish tumbler) where I have to pull the plug to turn it off... WOW! This is great! Things I would like to leave plugged in but turn off when not using.
Only two conductor, but not intended for heavy duty appliances. The switch is lighted when on!
I will buy several more...
